Under the theme “Michi to Asobu,” I leave in my work the process by which new paths emerge when the unknown, chance, and change are embraced. Using a technique of sulfurizing silver leaf, I treat its transformation — through brown, purple, and blue into black — as something that appears beyond intention, and make it an essential part of the work.
